Tungsten does not gain its extreme hardness until it is combined with a carbon alloy, transferring it into tungsten carbide (WC) with a hardness between 8.5 and 9.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. This means that the only way to scratch a tungsten carbide ring is to polish the ring with carborundum or grind it with a diamond grade abrasive.

• Sintering Temperature

Black Ceramic need 2000 ℃ and burned more than 10 hours.

Black Zirconium just need 600 ℃ and sintering blackened for more than ten minutes.

Black Ceramic: Pure Black for whole (both surface and inside), but if sintering temperature not high enough, the color may not be so black.

Black Zirconium: its grey black, not pure black, and the black only for surface, inside still keep original silver color.

Black Ceramic was cheaper than Black Zirconium.
